Maria Lassak holds a MA in Social and Cultural Anthropology and focused on Globalization and Human-Environment-Relations. In her master's thesis she dealt with (un)conditional cash transfer as a distributive mechanism.
She is a PhD student in the field of Transcultural Studies at the University of St. Gallen. Her research interests include migration, “integration“ and citizenship, bureaucracy, work and productivism and political participation. Currently she is working on naturalization in Switzerland in the context of debates on inequality and “deservingness“.
